Announcing the release of Somni Land and reward activities

In this article, we will take you through the SomniLife world, map, Land and the activity details.
What does Somni Land look like?
Somni Land is represented by a fantasy map, with a similar look to the real world. The size of a Land unit is about 100x100 square meters compared to a real-world space.
There are only 40,000 Land units in total. At the moment, 4,000 Land units will be available for residing, and the remaining Land units will be opened gradually.
Why should you be a resident on Somni Land?
Once you reside on a Land, you become a true part of SomniLife, and the assets of your wallets are counted into the economic indicators of your Land, which are also related to the benefits you will enjoy — both the local benefits of your Land and the global benefits of SomniLife.
By leveraging the permissionless nature of Web3, we allow users to check their TVA — Total Value of an Address (both NFT and token assets) from the profile page of our website.
TVA will be an important metric of all kinds of rewards in the future, including token and NFT airdrops, whitelist opportunities, events participation opportunities, which are not only within SomniLife, but also from other projects.
Activity #1: Genesis residents of SomniLife will share 200M $SO token reward according to TVA
The 200M SO tokens are evenly distributed across all the opened Land units, each of which has 50k $SO tokens reward. So for different sized Lands the rewards are:
- 50k $SO on each 1x1 sized Land
- 200k $SO on each 2x2 sized Land
- 800k $SO on each 4x4 sized Land
- 3.2M $SO on each 8x8 sized Land
The reward on each Land will be distributed among its residents in proportion to their TVA (Total Value of an Address).
For example, if you reside on a 4x4 sized Land, and your TVA equals 1/10 of the total value of all the residents on that Land, then you will get 1/10 of the 800k $SO tokens, that is 80k $SO tokens.
Steps:
- Go to https://www.somnilife.com/map/
- Connect your wallet.
- Select a Land on the map, click the “Be a Resident” button, and you will become the resident of that Land.

The activity will last from May 13th to June 15th, when the snapshot will be taken, and the rewards will be distributed soon.
Activity #2: Invite your friends to reside on a Land! To have the Free Land Giveaway opportunities and share another 200M $SO token reward!
If you don’t have high TVA, no worries, you can invite your friends to enjoy the same benefits. We introduce another metric, TVI — Total Value of Invited Addresses, or in other words, the total value of assets of the referrer’s address plus all the invited addresses.
The referral program will be launched on May 20th. You can invite your friends to reside on any Land, once they reside, their assets will be counted into your TVI. Note that you don’t need to ask your friends to reside on the same Land as yourself.
All the participants whose TVI is higher than 0 will share the 200M $SO tokens. What’s more, top participants will be eligible for FREE LAND giveaways, and have priorities on Land Sale based on their TVI ranking.
The Top 50 users with the highest TVI can get Free Land with the following distribution:
- 4x4 sized Land for top 1 participant in TVI
- 2x2 sized Land for top 2–5 participants in TVI
- 1x1 sized Land for top 6–50 participants in TVI
The duration of this activity will be 4 weeks starting from May 20th (snapshot on June 15th). If you aren’t able to be ranked top through this referring activity, don’t worry, because we are going to distribute Whitelist Spots to the most active members of our Discord communities and partners’ communities as well.
Why should you own a Land?
Somni Land consists of on-ground and under-ground areas. Once you become a Landowner, you will be able to build various public scenes in the on-ground area, such as galleries, malls, parks, concert stages, bars, offices, conference halls and more with our easy-to-use land builders.
The under-ground area is for homes of the Land residents. These homes can be teleported into and have a customizable interior, and can be upgraded based on the Land situation and settings.
Landowners can organize events, set up criteria and create incentives by fully leveraging our Web3 data analytics tools, for example, holding certain NFTs to participate in an event.
A Land has its economic indicators such as Population, TVR (Total Value of Residents), and more to come soon. The Landowner is able to manage a Land like a nation, set up land policies, create reward programs to attract residents, and make their Land have a prosperous economy.
The benefit of owning a Large Land!
In SomniLife, the adjunct Land units can be composed to a larger Land in any shape, while larger Land can also be decomposed to smaller Lands.
Imagine that you want to extend your Land, but the lands next to yours are owned by someone else and are not for sale. Hence one of the most important benefits of owning a Larger Land is the ability to decompose it into smaller Lands, while smaller lands have to be ADJUNCT to be able to be composed to a larger Land. Owning a larger Land will also unlock more possibilities, such as applying a logo or an image on the map, constructing special buildings, and much more!
Land Sale will be in June
You will be able to mint the genesis Lands (4,000 units grouped into 2,569 Lands by different sizes, in which 31 out of them are reserved and 2,538 Lands are for sale). The unit price will be 0.3 ETH, so the sizes and prices distribution is as follows:
- 1x1 (1 unit) - 2400 Lands, 0.3 ETH each
- 2x2 (4 units) - 104 Lands, 1.2 ETH each
- 4x4 (16 units) - 27 Lands, 4.8 ETH each
- 8x8 (64 units) - 7 Lands, 19.2 ETH each
The first 1 hour is for Whitelisted users and Top Ranking TVI users. Then after the first 1 hour, the Land minting is open to everyone.
The time and date for Land Sale is TBD.
